Happy World Environment Day!
At the Environment Conference of the United Nations (UN), it was decided that 5th of June will be celebrated as “World Environment Day” in the member countries every year.
"Water", the most important component of the environment, is the natural resource most affected by environmental pollution. The wastes generated in human activities are finally reaching to the lakes or the seas. Any kind of activity around the water resources affects water quality and biodiversity. Therefore, protecting “water” starts with the protection of surrounding water basin. It is our duty to protect the environment in our country, which has thousands of endemic plants and animals in land and hundreds of endemic species in aquatic environment. Because no country has such an ecological richness.
The Faculty of Aquatic Sciences, which "knows best about water", will continue to provide the greatest support for the preservation and improvement of water resources and for academic support and training of human resources in the dissemination of "Water Culture" throughout the country.
Happy World Environment Day!
