Happy World Oceans Day...
World Oceans Day is an international day that takes place annually on 8 June. World Oceans Day was officially recognised by the United Nations in 2008. Oceans are the lungs of our planet, providing most of the oxygen we breathe. They are a major source of food and medicines and a critical part of the biosphere. The international day supports the implementation of worldwide Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and fosters public interest in the management of the ocean and its resources. One of the main subjects of the Faculty of Aquatic Sciences is development of the awareness of Marine Culture in our country, which is the one of the luckiest country in the world in terms of marine resources, as a source for sectors related to production of protein, medicine, cosmetics and energy without damaging these resources.
Happy World Oceans Day!
